Kueh Chap

February 9, 2010 gordongoh Leave a comment

Kueh Chap, Kueh Chap! This dish still remains as one of Kuching’s specialty..  I still think the best Kueh Chap available in Kuching is the from the coffee shop opposite the old Upwell. I love the traditional and not too herbally taste of the kueh chap here (subjected to personal opinion!). Two other famous places for kueh chap are Bintawa and Carpenter Street…:)

Well, two bowls of Kueh Chap for ya…one with egg and one without egg..:)

Cultural Dance

February 6, 2010 gordongoh Leave a comment

The only thing that caught my attention during my second visit to Cultural Village was the dance performances by different ethnic groups in Sarawak. I was particularly impressed with the performance by the guy below. His accuracy in using the blowpipe, as well as dancing were amazing!

His costume so cool eh!

Gonna upload at least a picture every 2 days from now on! Till then…signing off

Hah! This is a little too late! Nevertheless, I will post this up as well as to congratulate both Anson and Joanne on their marriage! 22/12/2009 was a memorial day for Anson & Joanne..it was a day where they join their hands and hearts together in beginning a new journey that is full of fun, surprises, love, joy and of course little Yaps!

Well, Anson, I wish you and Joanne the very best and God’s grace & blessings to continue to shower upon both of you!

Sunrise from Buntal

December 23, 2009 gordongoh Leave a comment

Tried my second atempt on sunrise shooting last week at Buntal! Thank God the rain stopped just at the right time. The colour and temperature that morning was absolutely wonderful. It’s really true that sunrise and sunset have the magical colour which photoshop cannot duplicate. Waking up as early as 5am to capture the sunrise was not regretted at all even though there were a lot of sandflies and mosquitoes…:)

Below are the photos taken that morning…

The hardworking fisherman wakes up so early to get his boat ready..

As the sun begins to rise, the whole sky was reddish & yellowish!

Love this! This picture tells a story…

Kuching City View from the Top of DUN

December 23, 2009 gordongoh 1 comment

Hi again! So so sorry for the lack of updates…been quite busy the past 2 weeks..:) Well, last week a few of us went to DUN and the kind security guard there offered to bring us to the ninth floor if the DUN. From there, we can basically see the whole Kuching! North, East, South and West…it’s amazing! If you’ve not been there, you must at least go there once..:)

Here are some photos I took that day…:)

The artificial grass looks so nice!

Amazing view from the top of DUN!

That’s Mount Santubong I think..:)

We did some portraits towards the end..:)

Alright…that’s all for this post…see ya in the following post!

Sunrise from Kuching Waterfront

December 7, 2009 gordongoh 2 comments

Woke up as early as 5.15am this morning in order to capture the sunrise from Waterfront with my friend, Samson. A very new experience, but it was really fun! Like the old saying “Time waits for no man”, i believe that it is just so true when it comes to taking sunrise photos. Once you miss the perfect moment which only last for a few minutes, you gotta wait for the next sunrise! Well, the sky was quite cloudy, which left both of us a little bit disappointed. However, I am satisfied with two pictures captured. One at 6.00 am and another one at 6.15 am. Just a period of 15 minutes and you see the difference in the lighting.

Enjoy the pictures…:)

This was taken at 6.00am

Taken at 6.15 am

Walked passed this store and I just couldn’t resist the awesome red colour

Millions of them on the beach!

Guess please!
